Investment Criteria
Catalyst makes equity investments where we can add value through industry knowledge, our network of relationships, operating experience and active board participation. We focus on companies with the following characteristics:
Size of Investment
$5 – $40 million, with the capability, through partnering with our LPs, to lead transactions requiring additional equity
Size of Target
Enterprise value under $500 million
Type of Transaction
Growth buyouts, expansion capital, roll-ups
Investment Structure
Convertible or participating preferred stock; other structures considered. Moderate, if any, financial leverage
Ownership
Control or influential minority positions
Board Seat(s)
Yes
Geography
Primarily North America
Holding Period
3–7 years
